time and water

As the summer begins to slip away, the ache to be near water has not. I am spending time in the studio, however, slowly fabricating my fishing objects and finishing my glass boat which was relocated to the new studio today. After a long break (since July, really), I am eager to return to to her. There are some new ideas surrounding Old Man Jenkins, the first boat I built, and if they work out, I will post the results soon. I have my paddle in many waters, so to speak, which makes it harder to keep one's head above the waves. But at least the glass boat is in a space I can really work on it now. I had a few helping hands to relocate her to the new space. These guys were terrific (Hill, Still, and Godd, respectively), and made the process go very smoothly, considering the boat's incomplete repair. The cradle for the boat did just that, and I can build a shell around it for shipping. There are slates on the bottom sizable for forklift blades to lift the crate into trucks...
