Knee deep in shavings

With the outer rails glued, I am now using a metal scraper to bevel the edges of the lapstrakes so that they achieve a smoother, streamline edge. I am also sanding with a rotary palm sander. Its working great, but it is a lot of arm and hand work. This image does not make the boat look pretty...consider this the "before" image and I will show the after....after...I am fairly confident it will be clear after buffing. I am still working on the seat design, having at least three options currently. I don't have an image of the shavings just yet, but as the pile grows, I'll post. Its getting more interesting....
